Zabriskie Point is my favorite spot in Death Valley National Park. I love the contrast of the cooler colors from the tall mountains in the background with the bright warm colors of the rock formation in the foreground.

Growing up in humid, flat central Florida didn't leave a lot of opportunity for outdoor recreation other than trips to the beach. Despite growing up in what many would call a tropical paradise, it was always the mountains that called to me. At age 26 I finally made the move to take up permanent residence in the mountains of Chattanooga, Tennessee while my wife completed her residency. It was a great start, but as my wife's work concluded it was time to go bigger. So we packed our bags and headed out to Ogden, Utah where we now live amidst the Rocky Mountains (the Wasatch Range specifically).
