When the waves of the North Shore of Kauai smash up against the Napali Coast (the tallest sea cliffs in the world), they often bounce back out into the ocean. If they collide just right with an incoming wave they create this incredible fan wave effect.

Growing up in humid, flat central Florida didn't leave a lot of opportunity for outdoor recreation other than trips to the beach. Despite growing up in what many would call a tropical paradise, it was always the mountains that called to me. At age 26 I finally made the move to take up permanent residence in the mountains of Chattanooga, Tennessee while my wife completed her residency. It was a great start, but as my wife's work concluded it was time to go bigger. So we packed our bags and headed out to Ogden, Utah where we now live amidst the Rocky Mountains (the Wasatch Range specifically).
