Growing up in humid, flat central Florida didn't leave a lot of opportunity for outdoor recreation other than trips to the beach. Despite growing up in what many would call a tropical paradise, it was always the mountains that called to me. At age 26 I finally made the move to take up permanent residence in the mountains of Chattanooga, Tennessee while my wife completed her residency.
